Rönnbäcken – a key milestone for IGE Nordic

International Gold Exploration IGE AB (OSE: IGE) today announced the completion of the NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Preliminary Assessment (PA) of the Rönnbäcken Nickel Project in northern Sweden. The PA is a milestone in the development of IGE, and provides an independent evaluation of the project. Net present value of the project is estimated at US$142 million. According to the PA, the project has potential to outline additional mineral resources. IGE believes there are additional opportunities to further improve project economics.

Sale of interest in Gladhammar gold project

IGE Nordic AB (“IGE Nordic”), a subsidiary of International Gold Exploration IGE AB (“IGE”),has on June 3rd 2009 agreed to sell its interest in the Gladhammar gold project to Wiking Mineral AB (“Wiking Mineral”) for 2 million SEK in cash. IGE Nordic increases the resource target

IGE Nordic AB (“IGE Nordic”) is pleased to announce a new, increased resource target for its 100% owned Rönnbäcken Nickel Project. IGE Nordic’s previous target for the whole Rönnbäcken Nickel Project had been 180-220 million tonnes grading 0.10 – 0.15% nickel in sulphide.

Rönnbäcken resource exceeds initial exploration target

For the Vinberget deposit, an indicated resource is estimated to be 54.9 million tonnes with an average total nickel content of 0.187%, of which 0.137% is nickel in sulphide (Ni-AC) based on an open pit strip ratio of 0.46:1 and a nickel price of US$7.50/lb. For the Rönnbäcksnäset deposit, located five kilometres northwest of Vinberget, an inferred resource is estimated to be 192.9 million tonnes with an average total nickel content of 0.178%, of which 0.107% is nickel in sulphide (Ni-AC) based on an open pit strip ratio of 0.80:1 and a nickel price of US$7.50/lb.
